Why Not Wednesday: Too Faced Natural Love Palette SWATCHES

*First Impressions*

I  have never ordered a high-end palette on the day of release. I was up late, sick, and surfing Facebook when someone said the Natural Love line was live. I. Ordered. It.

Now, I usually opt for a natural look, so this palette was ideal for me. This palette offers 30 shades in the most adorable names. (Kittens and Bunny Nose are my favorite names!) What I really liked is the amount of matte shades in the palette. I think it's so hard to find a good palette with an even mix of mattes and shimmers.

The packaging is ultra adorable too. The actual words on the front are velvet, which was a nice touch. The inside is very standard with the exception of the super sized mirror. I've seen several people complain that a brush wasn't included, but with this many colors, I don't think a standard dual brush would work. I need like 5 brushes to achieve the looks I want with this palette. 😉

On to the colors...
They are all buttery smooth and rich. The shimmers and dark mattes are highly pigmented. Some of the lighter shades are lacking pigmentation, but I think that's the beauty of the natural palette. You know... to look natural I'm assuming using a shadow primer may increase the intensity of the lights shades. I think this palette is going to be perfect for wedding season. All the swatches below were taken with NO flash.

Final first impressions: You need this. it's versatile, has cute names, and velvet words. What's not to love?! Based on swatches alone, there's probably 4 shades out of the 30 I'm not impressed with. That's pretty darn good odds for a palette! You can find it here Natural Love Palette
I fully expect to dig in and use it tomorrow! Plus, I received my ipsy bag in the mail today, so you'll see that post too! (I ended up with the snail secretion Korean beauty cream.) Also, the ABH Modern Renaissance and Too Faced Chocolate Bar may or may not be on their way.

Promise to provide update once I've had the chance to full use!

Grand Re-Re-Re Opening

At this point, I'm equivalent to Bob's Burgers. The grand Re-Re-Re Opening.

I never really closed my blog down though. I also didn't catch on fire, get infested with rats, or have an electric pole crash through my house. (If you're not a Bob's Burgers fan, I recommend watching a few episodes. Which results in watching all the season in a few days.) I just lost track of free time. The free time I used to write for my blog.

That time has primarily went to school. Yup, I did it. I took the leap and returned to school. Psychology major with a triple minor concentration in Child/Family Psych, Industrial/Organizational Psych, and Forensics Psych. A girl has to keep her options open! Alas, school is a post for a different day.

Thank you to my best friend who encouraged me to pick this back-up. Who told me my blog was real and very personable. Who tells me everyday I've got school, work, and life in general under control. Who convinced me I needed the ABH Brow Wiz and Modern Renaissance palette.

You've guessed it... I'm back. Back again. Jerrica's back. Tell a friend (or like everyone).

Also, the new Too Faced Natural Love Palette will be delivered TOMORROW! Brace yourself...

February Makeup Lust List 2016

In light of everything going on (one day I will catch you up about it all), I wanted a light and airy piece for my blog. Writing can often times make me feel better, and my blog needed some attention. My BFF mentioned doing a lust list about beauty products.

She asked if money wasn't a concern OR you could find it- what would you beauty products would you buy?

You might look at this list, and think really? A lot of these are in people's everyday arsenal. Let me give you some back story- I was a one brand kind of gal a few short years ago. This brand was moderately priced and even better when you were a consultant. Recently, I've expanded into other brands and slowly adding others to my beauty collection.

Why did I choose these??

1. Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Foundation- I have read a lot of reviews about this product, and the results are mixed. Some people applaud it, and others are less than pleased. I use matte finish because my poor face has some oily, oily spots. I tested in store, and it was a good match and dried a very beautiful matte. You can check out more details here! Retail $39.00

2. Wet N Wild Nude Awakenings eye shadow palette- This palette is VERY reminiscent of the earlier Naked palettes. I have other WNW palettes, and I really like the color payout and wear-ability. I cannot find this palette ANYWHERE!! It was released in 2013, so I am thinking I will never get to enjoy this beaut. :( I don't have a link to share, but I would say it retailed for $4-6.00

3. Urban Decay Moondust eye shadow in Solstice: I fell in LOVE with this color at an Urban Decay event at Ulta. It is gorgeous on, and the swatches do not do it justice. It's a brownish-burgundy rich color with blue 3D glitter/reflects. I convinced myself to buy it in store that day, but it was sold out. Since then, I haven't taken the plunge to purchase. There is a WNW "dupe", but it does not even compare!! For more details and to admire go here! Retail $21.00

4. Too Faced The Little Black Book of Bronzers- I looked at this in store some time ago and really like the variety and colors it provided. Obviously, I didn't buy it then. Now I find myself returning, reviewing, and admiring this set. The cheetah print bronzer is by far my choice of the group. More details here! Retail $49.00

5. Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe: Again, I am drawn to this because of the variety and options in the palette! I think these colors would compliment my skin tone and work great for me. I've swatched the flush blushes in store, and the pigmentation is awesome. For more details go here!
Retail $36.00

6. Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara- O M G! I love love love this product. I have a few samples of this mascara, and I only use it for special occasions. This mascara gives me the added volume and length needed. It stays on and doesn't flake even after 10+ hours. I would love to add this to my everyday collection!! To check it out, go here! Retail $24.00

For the record, my birthday is right around the corner. I mean these would make GREAT presents.

July 2014 Beauty Wishlist

As many of you know, for the  past few years I have been very brand biased. Over the past year though. I have ventured into using various brands. Life is too short to not enjoy all the different choices. Plus, if for some reason you want to buy me a present... this is a great place to start.
This is my current July 2014 Beauty Wishlist.

1. Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush- Too Faced in Candy Glow: I think I am more in love with the little heart shaped box rather than the product itself. This blush trio offers a foolproof blush application. Wear 1, 2, or mix all 3 colors. Rose pink shimmer, soft coral, and a peach shimmer. This girl needs this! You can find it here Sweethearts Blush

2. Better Than Sex Mascara- Too Faced: I am always on the search for a volumizing mascara. I suffer from a lack of eyelashes. The reviews I've seen for this mascara have all been positive. Definitely for girls looking for volume. The brush was designed to reflect a woman's body- hourglass shaped. Paraben free. Find it here Better Than Sex Mascara

3. They're Real! Push-Up Liner- benefit Cosmetics: I watched endless youtube beauty reviews for this bad boy. I am challenged when it comes to winged liner. My success rate is relatively low. This gel eyeliner offers a soft angled tip for a foolproof, smudge-proof, budge-proof line. Maybe I could finally perfect my winged liner. Every girl needs this! Find it here Push-Up Eyeliner

4. HD Pressed Powder- Make Up For Ever: I received a sample of this with a previous Sephora purchase. I am always searching for a finishing powder to reduce midday shininess and a quick touch-up. It is lightweight, works well to minimize shine, and softens your skins appearance. You can find it here HD Pressed Powder

5. Amazonian Clay Volumizing Clay Brow Powder- Tarte: Brows are the frame of the face, and I believe every girl needs to spend some time on them when apply their makeup. This powder is lightweight  and volumizing to define brows. I have sparse and wild eyebrows at times, so I ALWAYS need to fill mine in. This leaves you with a natural finish and the color does not move during the day. Get it here Brow Powder

6. LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint- Tarte: When it comes to lip products, I am extremely picky. No stickiness, shininess, heavy lip products. I tried the matte lip tint in store, and let me say... Just go ahead and buy me EVERY color. High pigment concentration, hint of peppermint, vitamin A & E, and extra moisturizing benefits. Need I say more?! Buy all the COLORS!!!! Matte Lip Tint

7. Naked Basics Palette- Urban Decay: I bought the Naked 3 palette after it first came out. It was my first Naked purchase, and at first, I was unimpressed. Then... one day I found this great tutorial and I fell in love! Now I decided I need the basics palette as well. The 6 colors are multipurpose and MATTE for those days you don't want to be extra shimmery. You can find it here Naked Basics Palette

Now, go buy me a gift :)
What's your current beauty wishlist? Let me know of any products you are wanting to try, and I might be interested in.
